Project Manager - Fire Protection

|Description:||The Project Manager will be responsible for providing overall management direction for existing projects. This position will direct single large or multiple projects.|
|Duties:|| Oversee total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule. Includes interfacing with client representatives, account executive representatives, union officials, subcontractors, security, etc.|
Together with other personnel, assist with customer interactions
Plan, coordinate and/or supervise activities of company personnel on assigned projects.
Initiate and maintain liaison with client and account executive contacts to facilitate construction activities.
Plan and manage construction through administrative direction of Director of Fire Protection services and site foreman to ensure project is built on schedule and within budget; investigate variations and implement corrective measures.
Represent the company in project meetings, negotiations/strategy meetings, etc.
Plan and manage financial aspects of contracts (fee, billings, payment, subcontractor, income/expenses, etc.) to protect company’s interest and relationship with the customer.
Utilize standard accounting department resources as needed to perform analysis and reporting.
Authorize/approve all project transactions, billings, change requests, etc.
Ensure all company, customer and project policies, procedures, standards, Quality Control etc., are adhered to and interpret policies as required.
Assist with implementation/interpretation of safety programs.
|Qualifications:||Minimum of 10 years sprinkler trade experience; knowledge of construction, design, finance and management required|
Knowledge of construction projects from conception through completion, including the conceptual design, estimating, pre-construction, construction & project close-out
Ability to prioritize based on what is best for the company
Self-motivated and motivator of others
Assertive with a progressive and positive attitude
Good interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
Ability to “think outside the box” and encourage creative thinking in others
